Team WRIGHT

image4

Team Wright are forged on a strong bond of picking a university by the seaside instead of league tables. With no less the 6 Bournemouth university graduates in the squad. The joy of Alex, Craig, George and Jack living close to one another meant that the friendship stayed strong and Jack was adopted into the friendship group by head of recruitment Andy Fisher. The squad remain friends due to their love of football. Drinking. Royal Ascot and Chris Wright’s wedding this summer. A couple of adopted members have made the squad competitive (of course both Bournemouth alumni) and the boys fancy the chances of causing an upset!

The players

Jack Wright

image5

Jack is known for his 5 a side keeping but only time will tell how he does today.

Strengths: Looks like Peter Crouch and can touch the crossbar.
Did you know? Jack was once described as the orange highlighter by Nathan Bingham thanks to an impressive performance between the sticks for Woodley Hammers, in a less than impressive top.

George Fisher

image6

George is a bulldog type player who loves winding up defenders and strikers alike. George was some footballer back in year 8 having trials at Reading academy. Unfortunately, burgers and beer have taken affect and George will likely be subbed after 43 minutes.
Strengths: Winding up the opposition.

Did you know? George is a triplet? All three will be playing today as well as his younger brother Sam. His father Chris will also be part of the match day squad.

Andy Fisher

image7

Andy is a competitive winger lacking any great pace. What he lacks in speed though he makes up for in technical ability. Give the lad time and he will pick a pass David Beckham would be proud of.

Strengths: Ability to down a pint

Did you know? Andy like brother George had trials at Reading in year 8. He now plies his trade in Bristol's 7th division.

Jamie Fisher

image8

Jamie is the final triplet playing today. Has promised his dad Chris a goal.

Strengths: Height

Did you know? Yep you guessed it had trials at Reading in year 8. Now has a dog.

Sam Fisher

image9

The only Fisher still playing week in week out on a Sunday. Has a Berks & Bucks winners' medal to is name.

Strengths: Has the engine of a Rolls Royce.

Did you know? Sam is the best Fisher as voted by his fellow Family members.

Ben Steer

image10

A battling Centre-Back with a cannon of a right foot.

Strengths: Penalties and eating spicy curries.

Did you know? Ben was Winchester Universities Football team's social sec and now is responsible for all social activities for his friendship group.

Craig Masterson

image11

Craig has more pairs of Football boots then the rest of the squad put together. Hasn't played in 2 years due to injury, expecting him to last 70 mins before making way for the academy graduates.

Strengths: Left foot isn't bad, has been known to score the odd goal or 2 with it.

Did you know? Craig loves football but doesn't actually support a football team. I don't trust him either.

Dan M Ginn

image12

Dan is the latest addition to the squad and adds legs to the back 4.

Strengths: Dan can run a long way in a short time frame. Recently completing the reading half in 1 hour 33 minutes.

Did you know? Dans first 11 a side game saw him score a screamer in the bottom corner against his goalie for the day Jack Wright. Shame it was in his own net. Will lighting strike twice?

Alex Quick

image13

Alex has a trick or 2 in his locker with the ability to make easy pass look particularly challenging. He adds class to a workman like line up.

Strengths: Flip Flap

Did you know? Last time Alex played a Nathan Bingham side he put one in the top corner from 25 yards, will history repeat itself?

Luke Longman

image14

Manager of the 5 a side team a number of the boys play for and went 15 games without a goal. He has since found some form in time to grab the winner with 10 minutes remaining.

Strengths: Choice of Friends

Did you know? Luke has been running 15 miles a week to get himself ready for today! We love the commitment.

Matt Hayden

image15

Matt is a ball playing midfielder. He loves the ball to feet and has the ability to unlock even the tightest defences. Known as a young Kevin De Bruyne to his team mates; expect fireworks.

Strengths: Shooting from distance. Scored 4 wordlies a week whilst playing for Mottingham Forest at university.

Did you know? Matt is Charlie Lauri's cousin. Matt despite being the younger has always been the better footballer and has promised he will nuts him at least 5 times today else he will double his donation.

Chris Fisher

image16

Father to Andy, Jamie, George and Sam. Will be able to outrun all 4 of them despite being 30 years older.

Strengths: Experience

Did you know? Chris was Matt Hayden's youth team manager, and now will line up together for the first time.

Mark Wright

image17

A Wright academy  graduate, he has taken centre stage since his brother moved to the MLS.

Strengths: Has youth on his side.

Did you know? Marks brother Chris was part of Nathan Bingham's youth team?

TK

image18

Personal Trainer, TK has an energy none of the other 30 blokes who work in an office can appreciate, will be key last 10.

Strengths: Strength
Did you know? TK cycles everywhere to avoid cardio at the gym.

Ollie Waterhouse

image19

Strengths. Ability to wind up Matt Leigh.

Did you know? Ollie started the season with with Woodley United before moving to Wales to gain citizenship in a bid to play international football? Also a Bournemouth graduate.

Backroom staff

Natty Russell - Chief Physio

image20

A promising career cut horribly short by a knee injury. Natty will take his place as our physio for the afternoon.

Strengths: Owns a magic sponge.

Did you know? Natty worked with Bingham's Physio for the day, Matt Savage, at Basingstoke hospital.
